The Surgeon General of the United States says, "Mindfulness is the next frontier". Mindfulness is the awareness of what you're doing, in the present moment. It's the opposite of distraction which can erode our ability to pay attention to what's important in our very overloaded business environments. There are no silver bullets to make us destress and communicate more successfully. But with new tools, practice, and over time, mindfulness has the ability to lower stress and increase executive attention. Mindful communication has the ability to help us form healthier connections, even in high stakes situations. In this workshop, HR professionals will learn how to better oversee the well-being of people, especially Gens Y and Z, who demand attention to their emotional health. They will also examine the massive communication changes we've experienced over the past several years and how to navigate those changes using new, more mindful tools and techniques.
Our learning goals are:
- The business case for mindfulness
- The science behind the mind
- Simple mindful tools to increase attention/connection
- How mindful communication can make a divided workforce more united and successful in business
