Join us for a presentation on understanding Alzheimer's disease, the 10 early warning signs of dementia, and risk factors for developing dementia. The program will also provide tips on how to make your business or community Dementia Friendly, including how to interact better with individuals living with dementia. You will also learn about the resources available to support local caregivers and individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
Our Learning Objectives are:
- Understand what is Alzheimer's disease and what is dementia
- Learn the 10 Warning Signs of dementia and the potential impact on your workforce and community at large
- Learn tips on how to make your business or community more Dementia Friendly, including how to interact with individuals living with dementia and the potential impact on your employees, business, and other stakeholders
- Learn about the resources available to help local families (your employees) coping with Alzheimer's disease or dementia
About Megan Lemay:
Meghan Lemay is the Western MA Regional Manager for the Alzheimer's Association. Meghan has a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has a background in community health. At the Alzheimer's Association, she works to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding dementia, as well as, facilitates community education programs on dementia throughout the four counties of Western MA
